We work to ensure that digital technologies open up new opportunities for learning and self-improvement.

The Digital Education Center is a structural unit of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, established to support and implement digital technologies in the educational process, promote the formation of a digital educational space, and develop methodologies for hybrid, blended, and online learning to ensure the intellectual and creative development of participants in the educational process.

Our Goal:

  • Conduct research in the field of digital education and collaborate with national and international higher education institutions to exchange best practices and knowledge;
  • Provide access to advanced methodologies and knowledge in cooperation with digital market leaders for the implementation of cutting-edge technologies in the educational process;
  • Develop and integrate innovative teaching approaches into educational activities based on the use of digital resources and tools;
  • Improve the quality of education by creating a favorable digital education environment for interaction, collaboration, and development of teachers and students;
  • Enhance the training level of staff and educators in the use of digital technologies and digital learning methodologies.

Tasks

  • Coordinate the activities of subordinate structural units: the Laboratory of Digital Space Management and the Laboratory of Innovations in Digital Education;
  • Research, summarize, and implement modern teaching methodologies using digital technologies;
  • Develop and maintain existing digital educational platforms;
  • Ensure the integration of e-learning technologies with the university’s existing corporate information systems;
  • Provide support and access to MOOCs for university education participants;
  • Research artificial intelligence in education (AI) and promote its integration into the learning process;
  • Implement a set of digital systems to support the learning process, including informational, communication, and analytical components aimed at optimizing the organization and management of educational programs and courses, as well as using advanced technologies to ensure accessibility, efficiency, and innovation in educational services;
  • Establish and maintain the material, technical, informational, technological, and methodological base of the center at an appropriate level.

How do I log in to the E-Learning System (Moodle)?
For log in to the E-Learning System (Moodle), go to the university’s main website and click on the "E-Learning" icon. Select the login option using Office365 and use OpenID Connect for secure authentication. You will be redirected to the Microsoft authentication page, where you need to enter your corporate email address (in the @lnu.edu.ua domain) and password. After that, the system will redirect you to the homepage of the E-Learning platform, where you will have access to your courses.

I can’t find my course in the "My Courses" list after logging in. What should I do?
Make sure you have been enrolled in the course.If not, contact your course instructor to confirm your access status.
How do I submit an assignment in the E-Learning (Moodle) system?
Go to the relevant course, click on the assignment, select "Submit assignment," upload your file or enter text online (depending on the assignment settings), and click "Save."
Why aren’t my assignment grades showing?
Check if the instructor has graded the assignment. Grades may become visible after evaluation or within a specified time.
How do I participate in a forum in the E-Learning (Moodle) system?
The course, select the forum, click "Add a new discussion topic" or "Reply" to an existing post, enter your text, and click "Submit." What should I do if a video lecture or course materials don’t open? Make sure you are using an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox), and refresh the page. How do I join an online meeting through the E-Learning (Moodle) system?
Find the link to the online meeting in your course (usually in MS Teams, Zoom, or another service) and click on it to join.
How can I view my test results in the E-Learning (Moodle) system?
Once the test is completed, the instructor may enable access to the results. Go to the "Grades" section in the course or open the test itself to check your results.
