On June 26, 2025, as part of the international UkraineDigiTrans project (Module 2), a training session was held for university faculty on the topic “AI in Education: Tools, Scenarios, Challenges.” The lecture and practical workshop were led by Halyna Humenna, Acting Head of the Center for Digital Education and Head of the Laboratory of Innovation in Digital Education.
Participants explored the key opportunities for using artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching activities — including generating test questions, creating learning content, preparing student instructions, and personalizing the educational process.
The session covered:
Special attention was given to ethical challenges in using AI in education, such as academic integrity, transparency, algorithmic bias, data privacy, and digital inequality. Participants received a checklist for the ethical use of AI in teaching — with recommendations for instructors, courses, and students.
The practical part focused on scenarios designed to reduce the risk of unethical AI use by students. The session included tasks that AI cannot solve thoughtlessly: projects, analysis of real-world cases, oral defenses, personal experience interpretation, and critique of AI-generated answers.
The event fostered critical thinking about AI integration in education and equipped faculty members with practical tools for effective and responsible use of emerging technologies.
