Update of the electronic learning system to Moodle 4.5: new opportunities for teachers and students
We are pleased to announce that our platform has been successfully upgraded to Moodle 4.5 (LTS) . This is a stable version with long-term support and new features that improve course organization, learning materials creation, and user interaction.
Below are the main changes and features:
For teachers
- Subsections
The ability to create subsections within the main course sections. They expand or collapse, which simplifies structuring a large amount of material and improves navigation.
- Assignment UI improvements
The “Tasks” activity has received an updated interface: key actions are now located at the top of the page, more convenient filters have been added, and the ability to perform mass actions has been added thanks to a fixed bottom panel that always remains available for quick commands.
- Automatically provide extra attempts on assignments
The instructor can allow the system to automatically give students additional attempts to submit work.
- Media enhancements
The TinyMCE editor now allows you to make a short screen recording directly while editing materials — the screencast can be inserted, for example, into a forum or other text areas.
- New notifications
Added notifications for students about upcoming and overdue assignments, as well as when tests are open.
- Quiz improvements
Tests can now re-grade individual questions and edit question categories in the bank using drag-and-drop, making it easier to organize and manage questions
For students
- Screen recordings (Record your screen)
It is now possible to record a short video from the screen directly through the TinyMCE editor - for example, to explain a response in a forum or other activity.
