Dear colleagues,
We would like to inform you that, in accordance with the decision of the University Academic Council (Minutes No. 92/12 of December 3, 2025) and the Order of the Rector of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv dated December 10, 2025 No. 0-167, a new edition of the Regulation on the Electronic Learning Course has been approved and put into effect.
✨ Key updates and amendments
Please note the following major changes introduced in the Regulation:
- Organizational structure update:
The name “Organizational and Methodological Centre for E-Learning (OMCEN)” has been replaced with “Center for Digital Education (CDE)”.
- Course attestation timeframe:
Decisions regarding the attestation of electronic learning courses are made within 90 calendar days.
- Inactive courses:
A course is considered inactive if there has been no student learning activity for more than 400 days.
Unattested inactive courses may be deleted from the E-Learning System.
Instructors will be notified in advance about any planned removal to allow time for creating necessary backups.
- Efficient use of the learning environment:
Instructors are required to create one Course for several academic groups (if the learning materials are identical), using Moodle’s Groups and Groupings functionality.
Identical (duplicate) Courses may be removed, and instructors will also receive prior notification.
- Responsibilities and sanctions:
Before the start of each new academic year, instructors must clear the Course of previous students’ results and update its content.
In cases of systematic non-compliance, the CDE has the right to apply certain measures, including temporary restriction of the ability to independently create new Courses.
- Appendix 3 (Moodle elements):
The appendix for structural and functional assessment has been supplemented with a new column "Moodle Elements", which contains recommended platform tools for implementing various components of the Course.
